A journey rooted in passion
My journey in early childhood education began in 1988, long before Becky's Family Child Care officially started. It was a natural progression from being a stay-at-home mom to watching my sister-in-law's children, and soon, by word of mouth, my home became a hub for little ones. I was licensed in 1993, even before it was a state requirement, driven by a lifelong love for children. Babies have always captivated me, and I adore watching their incredible developmental changes as they grow. Kids truly make me laugh every single day, and there's nothing more rewarding than witnessing their learning and development firsthand.
More than just childcare
At Becky's Family Child Care, we go beyond basic supervision. I am dedicated to teaching children vital social skills that foster strong relationships with their peers and equip them to solve problems creatively. We focus on developing language skills, empowering children to communicate their needs and wants effectively. We also teach important lessons in empathy and honesty; for instance, when someone says "sorry," we learn to respond with "thank you" or "I forgive you," recognizing that "it's okay" doesn't always apply, as sometimes, it’s not okay.
Love, safety, and joyful learning
My greatest wish for every child in my care is for them to feel profoundly loved and absolutely safe. These are the foundations upon which all learning flourishes. Beyond that, I want them to acquire essential social skills that will prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. Not every childcare provider possesses this unique ability, but I do! I am committed to creating an environment where learning is not just educational but also incredibly fun. We believe that happy children are open to learning, and we strive to make every day a joyful experience.
